*NEW* Sheffield City Council funding

We have some more great news! Each year,  Sheffield City Councillors have a Ward Pot that they can use to fund community groups, projects or additional services to tackle certain priorities. Our local Labour Councillors, Dawn Dale, Garry Weatherhall, and Peter Price representing the Shiregreen and Brightside Ward in the North East Area have gifted funds to Sheffield Wildcats Roller Hockey Club to support them in their continuing project of teaching local school children to roller skate and coaching them in the sport of Roller Hockey.

We’d like to raise a further and special thanks to Tom Hughes of Activity Sheffield who tirelessly helped us to secure the funding. His valued time and the councils fine generosity has enabled us to purchase new team kit which will also proudly show the Sheffield City Council logo. And as if that wasn’t enough we are also able to fund an academy day at the Concord in the near future. Our last academy day was a huge success and saw novice players from Middlesborough joining in the fun filled action. Watch this space for further information on the academy day, it should be a good one!

Lastly a huge further thank you to Councillors Dawn Dale and Gary Weatherall (pictured with Keith and the kids) for coming down to the Concord to see our talented kids being put through their paces at training last night. Our club has grown very quickly over the last twelve months and your interest and help in our development is going to be put to great use. You’re welcome back down anytime!
